Can I pick my own colors, or only the lighthouse designs shown?

Both. Choose one of the 19 replica lighthouses, or pick Your Own Colors and select a main color and a trim color from the 27-color poly palette. Any combination is available at the same price; woodgrain colors add 10%.

Does it light up? What's included?

Yes. Every lighthouse ships with a 25-watt bulb, standard socket and an 8' cord - plug it into an outdoor outlet or extension cord. Optional upgrades: a dusk-to-dawn sensor, an electric rotating beacon, a solar kit (no cord at all) and interior tower lighting so the windows glow too.

Do I have to anchor it?

Poly lighthouses are hollow and lighter than they look (a 5' tower is roughly 60 lb - our estimate; the maker doesn't publish weights). On a sheltered lawn it stands on its own; on a windy or waterfront site we recommend anchoring the base to a paver or deck. Stone lighthouses stay put by weight alone.

How does it ship, and does it need assembly?

Sizes 2' through 6' ship fully assembled by UPS Ground - with-base versions come in two boxes and the tower simply sets onto the base. 8' and 12' towers and all stone lighthouses ship by freight on a pallet with curbside liftgate delivery. We ship to the lower 48 states.

What's the difference between the poly and wood versions?

Poly is solid HDPE lumber with the color molded through - no painting, ever. Wood versions are hand-painted MDO sign board, which allows every replica pattern and costs less, but will want repainting after years outdoors. Five striped/diamond replicas (Cape Hatteras, Cape Lookout, St. Augustine, West Quoddy, White Shoal) are built in painted Azek® PVC board on the poly line, at the poly price.

Poly components carry a 5-year residential warranty against defects in materials and workmanship; lighting components 1 year. Slight fading, surface scratches and stains from prolonged liquid contact are normal for poly and not covered.

Mild dish detergent and water; a soft brush for stubborn spots and a foam eraser sponge for scuffs. A pressure washer is fine up to 1,500 PSI.

The 2' poly lighthouse is the one you tuck into a flower bed, set beside the mailbox post or use as a nightlight on the porch steps. Small enough to carry with one hand, it still gets the full treatment: an octagonal poly-lumber tower, a working lantern room on top and the same 27-color palette as its bigger siblings.

This version includes the matching octagonal base, which lifts the tower to 27" overall, widens the footprint to 13" and gives the lighthouse the proportions of the real thing. The base ships as a second piece and the tower sets onto it.

Solid poly lumber. The tower, lantern room and trim are cut from Tangent® HDPE poly lumber (95% recycled content) with the color molded all the way through - it won't rot, crack, peel or need painting, and it cleans up with soap and water. Choose any of 21 standard colors or 6 woodgrain colors (+10%) for the body and a second color for the trim, or pick one of 19 replica lighthouses from around the U.S.

Five replicas with striped or diamond patterns (Cape Hatteras, Cape Lookout, St. Augustine, West Quoddy and White Shoal) can't be molded in solid color, so Sunrise builds them from painted Azek® cellular-PVC board - no wood fiber, the same maintenance-free promise, at the same price.

Lighting - what's included and the upgrades

Every lighthouse ships with a standard 25-watt bulb, socket and 8' cord - plug it into an outdoor outlet or extension cord and it lights. Optional upgrades: a dusk-to-dawn sensor that switches the light on automatically; a solar light kit with LED, ground spike and built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor - no cord needed; interior tower lighting so the windows glow as well as the top. Lighting components carry a 1-year warranty.

Shipping & setup

Ships fully assembled by UPS Ground in two boxes (tower and base) to the lower 48 states. Set it on a level surface; for windy or waterfront sites we recommend anchoring the base to a paver or deck - the tower is hollow and light for its size.

Warranty & care

Poly components are warranted for 5 years of residential use against defects in materials and workmanship; lighting components for 1 year. Slight fading, surface scratches and stains from prolonged contact with liquids are normal and not defects. Clean with mild dish detergent and water (pressure washer OK up to 1,500 PSI).
