The white lumber is virgin material and the black contains approximately 97% recycled content. If you are looking to go green, the darker colors are better since they contain a higher percentage of recycled product. The parts for our products are cut out on a CNC router. By doing this, we can nest the parts in order to minimize scrap, keep parts consistent, and offer smoothly cut edges. We use mortise and tenon joinery, along with heavy-duty stainless steel screws, to make these rockers and gliders sturdy. To give more structural strength to some of our more complex products, we reinforce them with laser-cut, stainless-steel parts. We’ve tried to keep these reinforcements as out-of-sight as possible, while still adding strength. We recommend cleaning this poly furniture with ammonia and a sponge when necessary.
